During the last 3 years, DTC successfully produced concerts with the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia/Mark Gorenstein, the Philharmony Baden-Baden and tenor Ramon Vargas, the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana with trumpet player Tine Thing Helseth, the Wurttemberg Philharmonic with baritone Thomas Hampson, the Orchestra of Enlightment with violinist Nigel Kennedy, Philharmony Baden-Baden with Carmina Burana with baritone Vladimir Chmelo, soprano Adriana Kohutkova, tenor Paolo Vignoli.
Another highlights and great successes were a big stadion concert with violinist David Garrrett, and Die Fledermaus (December 2013), a coproduction with the New Opera Austria and major international singers.
The company was established in 1985 by Dina Thoma-Tennenbaum and has become a leading classical music agency in Switzerland. DTC classics is involved in the promotion and marketing of events as well as representing a small number of distinguished artists.
At the heart of our business lies orchestral touring projects, mainly within Switzerland, for full-scale symphony orchestras and for smaller ensembles.
In the past, DTC classics was also active in the field of dance and ballet.
DTC classics offers a wide range of services including looking after artists, assisting in career-planning, and offers tour productions and collaborates with national and international booking agents, festivals and concert organizors. Thus, DTC classics is the producer of the annual PostFinance classics, a renowned series with famous opera singers.
In the past, DTC classics successfully toured Bergen Philharmonic, Orchestre National de Lyon, Prague Radio Symphony, Dresden- , Wurttemberg - and Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Russian State - and Russian National Symphony, Orchestra Santa Cecilia Roma, Austrian-Hungarian Haydn Symphony, Slovak Philharmonic and Choir, just to name a few. As a presenter, DTC classics is proud to name singers as Cecilia Bartoli, Edita Gruberova, Montserrat Caballé, Vesselina Kasarova, José Cura, Peter Seiffert, Ramon Vargas, Thomas Hampson, Leo Nucci, Ruggero Raimondi, instrumentalists as David Geringas, Misha Maisky, Vadim Repin, Sergey Dogadin, Julian Rachlin, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Nikolai Tokarew, Rudolf Buchbinder, Hélène Grimaud, Elisabeth Leonskaya as well as conductors like Adam Fischer, Antonio Pappano, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Walter Weller, Vladimir Spivakov, Vladimir Valek, Leos Svarovsky, Olari Elts, Andris Nelssons, and many others.
